Mission Statement
The Eastern Shore of Virginia Chamber of Commerce is a member-driven and –directed organization that represents the business, professional, agricultural, seafood, tourism, and community interests that advance economic and civic well-being through private-sector enterprise with a foundation built on providing value for our members’ investment.
Specifically, the Chamber’s mission is as follows:
- To help create jobs through industrial and economic development by working with existing businesses and by seeking new business and industrial opportunities.
- To help improve the overall business climate for members through sponsorship of programs that stimulate economic growth, promote civic development and enhance political action.
- To be a beacon which members and the community look to for guidance as programs, activities, and services are conducted.
- To promote and publicize tourism resources.
- To be a constructive advocate with all levels of government by maintaining an open exchange of ideas and information.
- To participate in activities in both Accomack and Northampton counties by providing support for programs when appropriate and by encouraging member involvement.
- To serve as an investment for the future of Virginia’s Eastern Shore.
