Annual Meeting: This event is a celebration of the year. It includes presentation of awards, nomination and election of new officers and directors as well as any bylaw changes.
58th Annual Dinner and Membership Meeting
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE AWARD WINNERS!!!
This year's Annual Dinner meeting was a sold out event! Members and Guests gathered for socializing and enjoyed the traditional prime rib dinner with all the trimmings.
In the evening's opening remarks Chairman Willie C. Randall thanked the Board of Directors for their support during his past 2 years as Chair. He also acknowledged interim President Jean Hungiville's leadership in a challenging year for the chamber. Later in the evening he announced the following award winners:
Alisa James of the Blarney Stone Pub in Onancock was selected as Small Business Person of the Year for her significant impact on the Eastern Shore community. The Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award went to Lucius Kellam III whose dedications to numerous Eastern Shore causes makes him a striking example of the unsung hero.
David Turner was presented the Chairman's Distinguished Service Award and Annie Jones received the Chairman's Special Award. Each of these award recipients were selected by Chairman Willie Randall for special services and extraordinary efforts in the past year. A 2nd Chairman's Award was presented to staff member Trish Doiron for her resiliency and extra efforts in the face of numerous challenges at the chamber this year.
Another annual tradition is the raffle of a David Turner bronze Otter. Every year David donates another in the series of playful otter poses. This year's entry Sexy Otter was won by Annie Jones of 
Onancock.
The official business meeting part of the evening included election by the membership of the new and returning board members and the "passing of the gavel" from outgoing Chair Willie C. Randall to incoming Chair Dr. Terris Kennedy.
