There is no fee to enjoy the many events and activities on the festival grounds. The family activities continue to grow and this year will be bigger and better than ever. The air will be Pre-registration assures you the best chance of reserving space for these filled with live music and the smell of great food. Highlights for the weekend include live bird exhibits, wildlife artists, kids’ activity tent, science and nature products for sale, a variety of exhibitors, and exciting workshops throughout the weekend. No tours are scheduled Saturday or Sunday between 11 AM and 1 PM so everyone can enjoy the festivities. Exhibits
- Many Federal, State and local agencies and organizations will feature
displays on nature and wildlife and local natural history. Several businesses
also will have an array of nature items for sale.
Children's Tent - A tent full of fun for the whole family with arts and crafts and a variety of wildlife activities. Music - Back by popular demand, the Dramtreeo will perform on Saturday and Sunday on the Festival grounds from 11 AM to 1 PM. The Group has preformed since 1982, entertaining listeners at Norfolk's Waterside and many other venues. They have appeared twice at the Lincoln Center in New York with the likes of the Kingston Trio. In the "revived" folk style of the sixties, they will entertain you with acoustic artistry, ballads, sea chanties, Bay music, Irish folk and more. Food & Beverage - The food and soft drink stands have good selections and the lines are short. The Sunset Beach restaurant also will offer a full menu, in addition to Pub selections. Silent Auction/Raffle - Numerous silent auction items will be on display throughout the Festival. In addition, the raffle features works from nationally and internationally known wildlife artists.
